Headaches

Have a client tonite that is getting headaches on a daily basis now. Over the past 6 weeks they've gotten more frequent and she says she is ready to pull her hair out.

Here is a list of items to survey when looking for underlying causes of headaches. It may be one or more of these, or something else I may not be aware of yet.

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Cardiovascular/Circulation
  • Cervical Spine
  • Chronic infections
  • Sinuses
  • TMJ
  • Dental issues
  • Allergies
  • Oxygen
  • Sugars
  • Carbon monoxide
  • Chemicals and toxicity
  • Magnesium
  • Hormones
  • Nutrition-general ie amino acids, minerals, vitamins and EFA's

Phenolics-Eugenol-Hives

Eugenol is a phenolic found in vanilla, perfumes etc. Phenolics are one of the first things to look at if someone has allergies/sensitivities.

A young boy from Canada came into our office last week with hives as one of his symptoms, Eugenol turned out to be one of the culprits. A homeopathic with Eugenol was made for him and gave him great relief from hives.

Indications: Brain allergy, collagen disease, diabetes, extreme fatigue, headache, hives, itching of mouth, panic attacks, smoking addiction.

Action In Body: Suspected as a cause of chronic urticaria (hives).

Commercial Use: Used in manufacture of vanilla. Used in perfumery. Defoamer in yeast production. Synthetic flavoring agent.

Medical Use: Employed externally by dentists as antiseptics and feeble anasthetic. Has been used via a Levine tube to treat peptic ulcer. Formerly used internally as an antiseptic, antipyretic and analgesic.

Candida/Yeast and the Trojan Horse

Here is a simple recipe that has worked well for people with candida-overgrowth of yeast. It seems that the sugar from the maple syrup is the Trojan Horse bringing in the sodium bicarbonate to kill off the yeast.

3 parts Pure Maple Syrup
1 part Baking Soda-beware Arm & Hammer has aluminum in it, try to use an alternative without aluminum if you can.

Heat for 5 minutes on the stove. Take 1 Tablespoon 1-3x per day with an 8oz glass of water. Best to take on an empty stomach when those cells are starving, they'll love the sugar and be surprised when they drop dead.

I've actually boiled this into a candy and dropped it onto parchment paper and made drops. Well, candy is actually a misnomer, it tastes awful this way. The reason I did it this way was to keep it intact. The liquid seperates and I have no idea how long it stays "fresh".

Another remedy would be Oregano Oil. You'll smell like a pizza factory and it'll about knock you over, but they say it is excellent for candida/yeast. The Wildcrafted Oregano Oil is the best. My local health food store has their own label and they do a really great job and offer a great price.

Detox-Garbage In, Garbage Out

Here are a few supplements that I have found helpful in detoxifying the body.

I recommend having any supplements tested on an EAV device, preferrably IQS, before taking any supplement for these reasons:

  1. All products are not created equal. I have seen high priced items test in the negative and low priced items test out with a very high value.
  2. The IQS System is a communication device that communicates with your innate intelligence(that part of you that pumps your blood and breathes and bats your eyelashes without you having to think about it consciously) via electrical skin response.
  3. It is quick and reliable. You'll have answers to your questions in seconds.
  4. It helps you avoid taking more supplements than needed, hence saving you money and another toxic burden on your body.
  5. IQS can help you determine your proper dosage with any given supplement or substance.
  6. You are able to see if you can tolerate a supplement that you need.
  7. If your practitioner is trained to clear an allergy/sensitivity response to a given ingredient and/or supplement, then you should be able to be cleared quickly and take that supplement home with you.

  • L-Glutathione- This tripeptide is created in the body from three amino acids: glycine, glutamic acid, and cysteine. Glutathione can grab onto hundreds of types of environmental chemicals and drag them right out of the blood, through the liver, gallbladder and gut and eventually end up flushed down the toilet, where they belong!
  • Milk Thistle has been used as a liver detoxifier, but what you may not know is that it works by irritating the liver. There may be other herbs that would be less stressful. New Chapter has one called LiverForce and HimalayaUSA has one called LiverCare. Both of the products contain no Milk Thistle.
  • Vitamin C-it raises the gluathione by helping the body manufacture it.
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid
  • Glutamine-amino acid
  • Methionine-amino acid *Note for IQS users check the methylation process of the liver and create homeopathic with methylation if needed.
  • S-Adenosyl Methionine (SAMe)
  • Whey Protein
  • B6, Riboflavin, Selenium-these vitamins are required in the manufacture of glutathione
  • Cilantro-an herb in your grocery store is a great mercury/heavy metal detoxifying herb.

The Importance of checking for Sensitivities to Vitamins

Sensitivities to Vitamins can lead to poor assimilation and therefore, deficiency of these vitamins within the body. Clearing these sensitivities allows the body to remember and choose to use them properly again, which allows the body to work, look and feel much better.

  • Vitamin A is important for immune system and is crucial for healthy mucous membranes and prevention of respiratory infections and skin eruptions.
  • B Vitamins are in most everything we consume. A sensitivity to B Vitamins can cause issues with emotional, physical and psychological well-being. B Vitamins are used to treat skin disorders and respiratory problems and can help to prevent colds and improve memory.
  • Whole grain allergies can be helped sometimes by clearing allergies to B Vitamins.
  • People who crave carbohydrates usually have a Vitamin B allergy or sensitivity.
  • Thiamin B1- can be depleted by excessive alcohol consumption. A person deficient in this B Vitamin might experience loss of appetite and weight, feelings of weakness and tiredness, paralysis, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, unfamiliar aches and pains, depression, heart difficulties, constipation or other gastrointestinal problems.
  • Riboflavin B2-is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. A person deficient in B2 may experience sluggishness, itchy, burning, or bloodshot eyes, sores & cracks in and around the mouth and lips, or a purplish inflamed tongue and mouth, dermatitis, oily skin, slowed growth, trembling, digestive problems & respiratory problems.
  • Niacin B3-helps improve circulation and reduce blood's cholesterol level. Niacin aids in metabolizing protein, sugar and fat. Increases energy through proper use of food, produces acid, metabolizes sex hormones, activates histamines. Helps maintain healthy skin, tongue and digestion. A person deficient in this vitamin may experience gastrointestinal disturbances, loss of appetite, indigestion, bad breath, canker sores, skin disorders or rashes, muscular weakness, fatigue, insomnia, vague aches & pains, headaches, nervousness, memory loss, irritability or depression. A lack of this vitamin might also result in respiratory problems (including asthma and chronic bronchitis).
  • Pantothenic Acid B5- is involved in the release of energy from the digestion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins and the utilization of vitamins. Defiencies can result in asthma attacks, muscle cramping, painful & burning feet, skin abnormalities, retarded growth, dizzy spells, weakness, depression, decreased resistance to infection, restlessness, digestive disturbances and vomiting.
  • Pyridoxine or B6-is necessary for the synthesis & breakdown of amino acids. It is needed by the Central Nervous System for the normal functioning of the brain. B6 aids in the metabolism of fat and carbohydrates, the formation of antibodies, and removal of excess fluid & lessening of discomfort during menstrual cycle. It aids hemoglobin, promotes healthy skin, reduces muscle spasms, leg cramps, and stiffness of the hands, helps prevent nausea and promotes balance of sodium & phosphorus in the body. Deficiencies can produce skin eruptions, loss of muscular control or muscle weakness, arm & leg cramps, fatigue, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, slow learning, water retention, anemia, mouth disorders or hair loss.
  • Cobalamin or cyanocobalamin Vit B12-is required for the formation & regeneration of red blood cells. Necessary for building genetic material, producing energy, maintaining a healthy nervous system and muscles, and metabolizing carbohydrates, fat and protein. It is important for the promotion of DNA synthesis, childhood growth, cell longevity, memory improvement, maintenance of the appetite and digestive system and strengthening of the immune system. Essential to producing insulation for the nerve fibers. A person deficient in B12 could experience pernicious anemia, degeneration of the spinal cord and nerves, poor appetite, stunted growth, nervousness, depression, lack of balance, neuritis or brain damage.
  • Obviously there are more vitamins to discuss here. My point is that basic nutrition is foundational to the body. The Vitamins and Minerals are so involved in the processes of the body. If there are allergies and sensitivities, it is essential to clear these so the body can assimilate the proper nutrients and thrive. Finding and clearing a sensitivity is a fairly simple, straight-forward process for most people and can easily be done by a practitioner that is trained in this.

Constitutional Remedy Test

Send me your email address and I will email you a simple and fun Constitutional Remedy Test that you can take on your own.

Mycoplasma definition from Wikipedia

Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria that lack a cell wall. Because they lack a cell wall, they are unaffected by some antibiotics such as penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics that target cell wall synthesis. They can be parasitic or saprotrophic. Several species are pathogenic in humans, including M. pneumoniae, which is an important cause of atypical pneumonia and other respiratory disorders, and M. genitalium, which is believed to be involved in pelvic inflammatory diseases. They may cause or contribute to some cancers.
