ADD and ADHD

Dr. Paul Herscu, as well as others, have an amazing approach in dealing with children that have been labeled ADD or ADHD. He has a great reputation as a pediatric/homeopathic expert.

The good new is with Interrogatory BioFeedback (IBF) you can quickly find which remedy has the highest value and at which potency and create it. You can also follow up with the next layer and the next and the next.

As I watch people go through their healing processes, it is becoming more apparent that we heal in layers, and that it doesn't always look linear. The proverbial 3 steps forward, 1 step back or vice versa. Sometimes things look great and then look worse than ever on the road to healing and recovery. I like Dr. Paul Herscu's approach with homeopathics because he seems to really grasp the layered concepts of healing and the expectation level.

Clients come in oft times expecting to be "fixed" within one session. This expectation is not realistic. Although I have seen many cases where clients experience relief almost immediately, there are typically more pieces to the puzzle of their discomfort that brought them in in the first place. Part of the work that I do involves helping to train people using the IQS equipment to do Interrogatory BioFeedback. http://www.i2inetwork.com/ and from these experiences with them and within my own practice I have seen the value in setting up proper expectations with clients. I appreciate Dr. Paul Herscu's words, energy and work that I have learned about so far.

Here is an excerpt from a review article on Dr. Paul Herscu's seminar written by Frank W. Gruber, M.D. that will give you a taste of Dr. Herscu.

"Paul's class on hyperactive children has given me a way to think about a whole class of remedies. His schema puts into perspective the way these remedies fit together, with the polychrests, the nosodes, and transitional remedies such as Stramonium and Baryta Carbonica. He then discussed two directions the patient can go from there: the tru "far out" hyperactive remedies such as Hyoscyamus, Tarentula, Veratrum Album, in contrast with such remedies as Cannabis indica, Opium, Helleborus, and Bufo-which are also "far out" but have a more depressed sensorium. He discussed the materia medica of all these remedies (and more) with liberal video cases to represent them and to let you see his approach in action."
